AmeriQuest and LiftExchange Team to Deliver Comprehensive Materials Handling Equipment and Warehouse Products and Services
April 23, 2007, Cherry Hill, NJ – AmeriQuest Transportation and Logistics Resources and LiftExchange have announced a product line offering partnership, a program to help AmeriQuest members reduce costs and increase the productivity of their materials handling lift truck fleets and related distribution center equipment. Building on the success of AmeriQuest’s FleetXchange program, a highly regarded aggregated buying program for the commercial trucking industry, this new program now addresses members’ lift-truck and related warehouse products and services needs.
Doug Clark, President and CEO of AmeriQuest, stated, “Through LiftExchange, AmeriQuest now offers members who operate fleets of materials-handling equipment with a total fleet management solution including reports to better control their rolling stock to enable them to understand the true cost of each piece of equipment and ultimately reduce the amount of money they’re spending in this area. Whether the equipment is deployed in stores, distribution centers, terminal markets or manufacturing plants, members will be able to save money by making more informed maintenance and life cycle decisions on each piece of equipment.”
Joe Ciolino, President, LiftExchange Group, Inc. added, “AmeriQuest members have some of the largest materials handling fleets in the country. The prospect of incorporating these companies into this robust purchasing program will further enhance overall aggregated purchasing power and assist in reducing overall costs for participating companies. This program can show savings from 15% to 45% annually. This savings and the management tools available through LiftExchange will help members drive additional costs out of their total distribution, retail, and warehouse fleet operations.”
The LiftExchange program recognizes companies have different needs and priorities and offers services in a menu format. Members simply select those features that compliment their operations. Some companies outsource their maintenance work to a third party, while others prefer to handle it in-house. LiftExchange accommodates the differing needs of both. Participating companies will also find management tools to assist them in right-sizing their fleets, maintaining equipment based on cost per hour of usage, and maximizing equipment lifecycles.
Because a wide selection of manufacturer brands are represented in the program, members have the ability to research and select equipment suited to their specific needs without the selection limitations imposed on single-brand dealerships. Special pricing and rebates are offered by LiftExchange on a variety of products and supplies, including top-name lift trucks, pallet jacks, forks, tires, seats, lights, batteries and chargers, battery handling equipment, propane, shrink wrap, racking systems, and much more.
